Using a hard light with barn doors
In this three-shot video, filmed exclusively for this lighting course, I show how I mix a continuous hard light with ambient light. I use the barn doors on the light to shape the light output to isolate my model.
These shots could easily be taken with a Godox AD200 with a round head or a Godox AD100 in a Godox S2 bracket.
The barn doors and black reflector are the Aputure Light Storm Barn Doors set.
The smoke machine is a Scotty 11 from the Smoke Factory.
The video features Susanna Fusari and Mischkah Scott and was shot on a recce in Tuscany. I used two GoPro cameras and a tiny Sony sound recorder with a Sennheiser Lavalier microphone.
